Make a journal or memory book. Include pictures, jot down special memories, and ask the kids to write down their favorite things about dad.
Have an interview with dad. This can be as serious or as whimsical as you wish. Ask him about childhood memories, what he wanted to be when he grew up, how he spent summer vacations as a kid, etc. Record the interview for a life-long family keepsake.
Have a gift basket scavenger hunt. As he and the kids look for clues, Dad collects some of his favorites into a gift basket. Include a CD, movie, or book, along with some crossword puzzles, snacks, or anything else you think he might like.
Plan an afternoon around his interests. Whether it’s a sports game, fishing trip, or nature hike, he’ll love doing something he’s passionate about with those he loves the most.
